Email to Shermie:
Mr. Schoenig, the
Washington printing instructor, gave those of us in the graphic arts
club, a soft bound book of all the Washingtonia publications for that
class year. I have scanned all 16 publications contained in the
book for our class of 1970.
I have the original copies and would
be willing to donate them for the 50th reunion. Maybe they can be
auctioned off to fund some of the expenses for the reunion. I also
have many of the Peters Drive-in coupons that would gladly donate.
I also have a Washingtonia book for the class of 1969 in which I
have not yet scanned. Many articles in the 68-69 publications also
include our classmates.
The Washingtonia was printed on two
different presses during our years at Washington HS. The 1st press
was a hand fed, black/white, hand-me-down newspaper press. In
January 1970 the Washingtonia was printed on a modern automatic feed,
8.5 by 11 multi-color press. The issues published with the older
presses larger paper size made the scanning difficulty for one page
format. Those issues have a slip page format.

PS - Sorry that some of the pages are not
pristine but have suffered from 50-years of storage. Soon I will
scan junior year Washingtonia publications and pass them along also. |
