Republic of the Marshall Islands		 KVZI-FM broadcast at 97.9 FM in the 1970's on
Roi-Namur island, near Kwajalein, in the Marshall
Islands, then part of the US Trust Territory of
the Pacific Islands.

Late in 1975, Shermie & Friends Band were hosted
on the island by KVZI-FM and this image shows the
group arriving at Roi-Namur and holding KVZI-FM
welcoming signs.

Shermie performed at the Old Timer from 1998-2005. Jimmy, owner, would come to the piano and sing for the audience while eating and drinking at their tables. Jimmy created the Irish
atmosphere with his proud Irishman brillance, wonderful smile,
great personality and singing the Irish songs with his beautiful tenor voice. He loved his family, business, and the customers.
Shermie performed 3 nights a week at the Old Timer for seven years. The Old Timer will always be remembered, RIP Jimmy.		 North Platte, NE
