Frank A. Bigham passed away on November 22, 2016 in Scottsdale
Arizona. A native of Kansas City, Kansas, he grew up on his father's
dairy, on the land that later became Providence Hospital. He graduated
from Washington high school, and went on to Oklahoma State to play for
the famed Hank Iba. Frank had found his passion. After marrying
Harriet McGaugh, he began a tour of duty in the air force in Japan,
where he played on the basketball team for the Fuchu Tornados. After
returning home, he began a career as a basketball coach in Larned,
Kansas. Returning to Kansas City, Kansas, he coached basketball and
golf at Washington High School and at Kansas City Kansas Community
College, until retirement. He was an avid golfer in his later years. A
kind man with a dry wit, he will be remembered by the many he coached.
