Obituary for Dennis Keith Tidwell
Dennis Keith Tidwell, born February 22, 1952 in Oklahoma City, OK,
passed away on January 16, 2023, at his farm in Lenox, MO. He is
survived by his wife Robin, his children Michael (Lauren) Kohut,
Angela (Thomas) LaMora, Elizabeth Buchner, Joshua (Nahkya) Benton, and
Carson Tidwell, and his brothers Richard (Marcia) Tidwell and Steve
(Judy) Tidwell, as well as grandchildren Aubrianna, Tessalynn, Darwin,
and Judah, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by
his parents, Cecil and Allene Tidwell, and his younger brother, Roger
Tidwell. Dennis graduated from Washington High School in Kansas City,
KS in 1970 and attended Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia, KS.
He spent his career in retail management, including TG&Y, Walmart,
Family Dollar, and Mobile-on-the-Run. At various times, he owned an
appliance store, an insurance business, a photography studio, and a
bookstore, as well as the only known entrepreneurial conglomerate. He
was active in his church at different times, serving on boards and
committees and as an usher. He enjoyed building furniture and fishing,
as well as working on his farm, and of course, driving his tractor,
Boomer. Visitation was held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 the Wilson
Mortuary Salem Chapel, under the direction and care of Wilson Mortuary
of Salem, MO. |
