Patty K. Thomas, 65, of KCK, passed away April
25, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospice House. Visitation will be from 6-8
p.m. Friday at Chapel Hill-Butler, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS
66112. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Sat., April 29, at the funeral
home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Patty was
born Feb. 13, 1952, in Kansas City, KS, to Frank Epson and Helen King.
A lifelong Kansas City area resident, she grew up with ten siblings
and attended Washington High School. Patty worked as a secretary and
was lately an associate at Wal-Mart. She was an avid reader,
especially romance novels; and loved her pets. Patty had two pets in
the house and all the strays in the neighborhood new they could find a
little meal at her home. She was deeply devoted to her family. She was
preceded in death by her parents; son, Jacob Thomas; three brothers,
Martin, Frankie, and William King; and one sister, Donna Rachoza.
Patty is survived by children, Nicholas Thomas, and Elizabeth Thomas
(Eric Yantz); siblings, Mary Walls, JoAnn Martin (Bruce), Roxanne
McDaniel, John King, and Judy Tavener (Ed); as well as her
grandchildren, Schyanne Corbin, Dominic Amayo, and Peyton Thomas and
many other relatives and friends |
