Donald Wesley Kling, Jr., 62, of Overland
Park, KS, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Kansas City Hospice
House. A Rosary will be prayed at 3:00 PM with a visitation to
follow till 5:00 PM Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the Porter Funeral
Home, 8535 Monrovia Street, Lenexa, KS. Memorial Mass will be
10:30 Monday, January 19, at the Cathedral of St. Peter, 409 North
15th Street, Kansas City, KS 66102. Memorial contributions may
be made to Mid America Multiple Sclerosis Society, 7611 State Line,
Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64114 and Kansas City Hospice, 10100 West
87th Street Parkway, Suite 100, Overland Park, KS 66212. Don was
born March 29, 1952, in Kansas City, KS. Don was a 1970 graduate
of Washington High School. In 1980, Don was diagnosed with
Multiple Sclerosis. When asked how he was feeling, he always
replied "with my hands." Don will always be remembered by his
ornery sense of humor. He worked at Deluxe Check Printing for 29
years retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Cathedral of St.
Peter, Deluxe Retirees Club, and MS Support Groups. Don was
preceded in death by his parents Donald, Sr. and Betty Kling. He
is survived by his wife Barbara of 41 years, sons Dennis and Erin
Kling, Ryan and Kate Kling, grandchildren Anastasia and Owen, sisters
Debbie and Rick McClintic, Denise and Dennis Hays, niece Jenny Hurley
