Doug Fowler left us way too soon when he suddenly collapsed on April
4th at the age of 62. The son of Mary Margaret and Albert Fowler,
Doug was born on December 7, 1952 and raised in Kansas City, Kansas.
He moved to Oregon to attend college and received undergraduate and
law degrees from Lewis and Clark. Doug lived in Portland for nearly
two decades where he began his long and fulfilling career as an
aircraft transaction attorney. In 1989, Doug moved to San Francisco,
where he later met the love of his life, Lori. Doug was known for his
keen intellect, sharp wit, and love for his family and community. A
proud resident of the Bay Area, he would often look out at his
surroundings and exclaim to his family, "Somebody's gotta live in
Northern California, might as well be us!" Doug enjoyed cooking
amazing meals for his family and friends, rooting for the San
Francisco Giants, and taking family trips to Maui. Most of all, he
loved watching his kids grow up, cheering them and their teammates on
at countless swim meets and water polo games, and following their
college experiences. He was so proud of the wonderful young adults
they have become. Doug is survived by his best friend and wife Lori,
his children Chance and Grace, his sisters Linda and Susan, his many
friends, and his two schnauzers. |
