Linda Kay Dodson Slates passed away January 11, 2013, after developing a brain tumor in 2009. Born Oct. 13, 1952, Linda grew up in Kansas City, KS. She earned a Masters degree and was an RN for over 40 years. Linda was very proud of her nursing career, most recently as quality analyst at St. Luke's North. Linda is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Leonard Slates. Proceeded in death by her dad, Robert Dodson. Survived by mother, Ruby, sister, Janet (Steve) Taylor, niece, Brandy (Brad) Dodson, parents-in-law, Frank and Floris Slates, and more nieces and nephews. Also Leonard's cousin, Carla (Dennis) Jett, who became Linda's best friend, after coming to the rescue and assisting Leonard with her caregiving. Linda chose cremation.
