Linda Marie Buckner was born in Joliet, Illinois on January 23, 1952 to the union of Leonard M. Bailey and Mary A. Matthew. The Bailey family relocated to Kansas City, Kansas. Linda attended Kansas City, Kansas public schools. She graduated from Washington High School. She became a member of Lakeside Church of God In Christ and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age.

She was a wonderful, devoted mother, mentor, grandmother, sister, and aunt who worked many years at McDonalds Restaurant.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Leonard Milton Bailey, her mother Mary Alice Matthew, and two sisters Bertha Bailey and Patricia Pegg. Linda was so full of life! She would always keep everyone laughing and smiling.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, two children, Alisha Ann Buckner and Milford Kenneth Butchner III; three sisters, Thelma Porter of Wellsville, KS, Trina Norwood of Kansas City, KS and Alice Bailey of Kansas City, KS; three brothers, Samuel Bailey of Los Angeles, CA, Roger Bailey of Kansas City, KS and Leonard Bailey of Leavenworth, KS; former husband Milford Buckner; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, and other special family and friends.
