Leslie Maurice Anderson, 58, passed away Feb. 5. 2011, from complications with leukemia surrounded by his family. He was born to Milton & Lucille Smith in KCK. He attended Washington HS and Emporia State Univ. On Jan. 29, 1977, he married Deann Pinkerton in Emporia, KS. She survives as well as sons, Samuel (Becky & grandson Mikey), Charles, and brother, Gary (Renee), all of KC. He worked for Farmland in Hutchinson, KS, until 1984 when they transferred to KC. Lately he worked for Dillards at Oak Park Mall. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Billy. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to KU Med Cancer Research. Informal memorial gathering will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at American Legion, 7500 W. 75th St., OP KS.
