| I did the major part of my tour of duty on Guadal Canal and then the landing on Guam, with the 22nd Marines. I enlisted in December of 1943 and was discharged January, 1947. I was with the C.B.M.U. 515 that was attached to the 22nd Marine Regiment for the landing on Guam. I am originally from Long Island, New York. I went to Camp Perry, Virginia, for boot camp and then to Port Hueneme, near Oxnard (I can't remember the name of the camp). From there I went overseas. First to Guadal Canal and then on to Guam where I spent about a year and a half.
