Intel 2000-2007, Manufacturing Technician
Shermie obtained all his operational and equipment certifications for the
Lithography Metrology tool sets. During the seven years Shermie has
repaired, maintained and operated the robotic Metrology toolsets, he has never made a operational error. Shermie was
a Peer Trainer, Team Leader, Shift Safety Team Representative, Stretch Leader,
Test Wafer Coordinator and Safety Communication Team Member. Shermie is on
time, a hard worker and has an excellent safety record. He has great work
ethics, communications skills and attention to details which has contributed to
Shift 4 Metrology having the lowest cycle time that has contributed to Fab 23
being the fastest operating Intel factory in the world. Due to Shermie's
outstanding performance, contributions and exceeding expectations for 2004, he
was promoted.
Raytheon 1998-1999, Computer System Technologist II
Shermie provided technical leadership and training, designed and implemented
customized solutions to meet expressed IT technical requirements. In
addition, he provided continual support to various levels of management
nationally to meet their expressed needs. He developed documents, user guides,
CD media, software and a Test Lab facility to support RSC Site Teams and Video
Teleconferencing Nationally (VTC). Shermie received an appreciation from
Raytheon management for work accomplishments and a small monetary gift for his
accomplishments put forth in support of VTC. Provided technical assistance
for the Applications Group providing many hours of overtime in reducing Site
Team backlog during the past two years. Shermie developed a technical
resource web site "Site Team Homepage" and assisted in the development of the
Document Library to provide technical and help information to the RSC Eastern
Shared Service. In addition, many weeks of labor were provided for Y2000,
LanDesk Server, Driver Applications, etc. Shermie is very professional
with his peers and the department as a whole, and in his approach to his
responsibilities.
Raytheon 1997, Senior Field Engineer
Shermie possess strong maintenance and repair capabilities. He is able to
isolate problems and repair equipment at the system level down to the component
level. It's generally felt, that if Shermie can't repair it, it's not
repairable. Even with a full work load, Shermie continues to test and
analyze the VAX computers to find way to improve and stabilize system operation
along with minimizing system crashes. Shermie is a valuable asset and
continues to provide superior performance in a position that is key to the
successful operation of the ALTAIR RADAR. His ability to respond to system
problems 24 hours-a-day directly contribute to ALTAIR's success as a Space-track
sensor.
Raytheon 1995, Computer Engineer
Shermie possess very strong troubleshooting, excellent maintenance and repair
capabilities. He is able to isolate problems and repair equipment at the
system level down to the component level. It's generally felt, that if
Shermie can't repair it, it's not repairable. Shermie authored ALTAIR
RADAR calibration procedures that are used by site system engineers during
mission calibrations and preparation. Shermie developed and meticulously
maintain the configuration lists of the VAX Computer Systems.Raytheon 1995, Senior Field Engineer
Shermie maintains a wide variety of equipment which numbers in the hundreds and
ensures that all the main frame, workstation and desktop computers are available
for usage with a minimum of "Downtime". Shermie takes it upon himself to
monitor the VAX error log on a daily basis with debugging crash codes to resolve
failures, along with maintain record of system failures. Shermie pursues
many task in maintaining the ALTAIR Ethernet subsystems, providing assistance
whenever necessary. Shermie has a great attitude, good communication
skills and a very motivated worker with a strong work ethic.
Raytheon 1993, Senior Field Engineer
Shermie is a motivated worker with a strong work ethic. Shermie is
extremely knowledgeable of personal computers and their associated peripherals
such as printers, monitors, modems and network devices. Shermie has a
great attitude. Shermie maintains a wide variety of equipment which
numbers in the hundreds and ensures that all main frame, workstation and desktop
computers are available for usage with a minimum of "Downtime".
